When speaking about the richest countries in the world, the United States generally tops the list followed by China, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Germany. This ranking is based on the economy size of these countries as well as their overall net wealth. However, when countries are sorted based on their per capita average wealth and median per capita wealth, you get a completely different picture.
You can see that Switzerland aces in both categories - average wealth and median wealth. Surprisingly, Australia, New Zealand, and Hong Kong are in top positions in both categories. The report gives a different perspective in terms of wealth distribution in different countries.
